To take control of your health you have to be informed. The internet makes information accessible to everyone which is fantastic, however with it also comes some challenges.

 

Firstly there is the potential for information overload. With all the information available – it’s common to find many differing or directly opposing opinions. The key is to interpret those opinions. As a subscriber you can ask for my help and if it fits, I’ll research the topic and write an article on it. If not I’ll advise on the best alternative.

 

Secondly, there is the paradox of choice. There is a belief that with all this information out there, there must be an exact answer for your health concern. While you may get close and will certainly uncover incredibly valuable information, you need to remember that you are unique and no distant advice can replace the direct one on one relationship you have with your health care professional. Do not take anything you read on this site as a medical directive.
